Aloo paratha is one of the popular parathas in North India especially among Punjabis. You can have it in breakfast, lunch or dinner and can become your kid's favorite dish. It is a simple and easy to make recipe and can be prepared within 30 minutes. It is one of the basic parathas that you can cook at home when nothing strikes you. All you need is boiled potatoes and some spices.
So, try this recipe and enjoy aloo paratha with curd, pickle and chutney.

Recipe: serves 4 parathas.

Ingredients:
1) 3 medium size boiled potatoes mashed smoothly
2) 1/2 tsp grated ginger
3) 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
4) 1/2 tsp Chaat masala
5) 1/2 tsp cumin powder
6) 1/4 tsp garam masala
7) 1/4 tsp grounded black pepper
8) 1/2 tsp mustard oil
9) 1/2 tsp salt
10) 1/2 tsp lemon juice
11) coriander leaves

12) 3/4 cup wheat flour
13) water for kneading dough
14) 1/4 tsp ajwain and black cumin seeds
15) ghee for cooking

Method:
Step 1:
Combine wheat flour, ajwain, black cumin seeds and salt. Mix well and knead to make a soft dough by gradually adding water.
Divide it into 4 equal size balls.

Step 2:
Mix all the remaining ingredients to make the filling.

Step 3:
Pack the dough balls with the fillings and roll it into circular shape applying some flour dust.

Step 4:
Heat a tawa and cook parathas on it applying ghee by flipping until it is completely cooked.

Serve hot with curd or pickle.
