Coconut laddoos are very popular in all over the country especially in coastal regions. Coconuts are easily available through out the year. But it tastes awesome in the winter season.Depending upon the method and the ingredients used there are many recipes for making coconut ladoo. But I have made it copying my mother's style Which is very simple and quick.

Sharing the recipe : makes 7-8 laddoos.

Ingredients:

-2 cups grated coconut in thin shreds
-3 cups water
-1 cup sugar
-3 to 4 drops of rose essence
-7-8 raisins

Method:

-Add grated coconut in boiling water in a kadahi.
-Let it cook for 15 minutes on low flame.
-When there is little water left , add sugar.
-Mix and saute for 2-3 minutes, once all the water is dried, switch of the flame.
-Add rose essence.
-Let it cool and apply ghee on your palm and see if this is warm ,then roll it in round shape with your palm.
-Stick raisins on the top of each laddoos.

And laddoos are ready.
