Uttapam

#southindianbreakfast#

Uttapam is a very common breakfast food in South India and is made using fermented lentil and rice batter with vegetables as topping. It is served with chutney and sambhar.
Uttapam is topped with different veggies like onion, tomato, carrot, capsicum, ginger and coriander leaves.
Uttapams are crisp from the bottom and are soft and fluffy on the top.
Whenever I prepare batter to make idlis and dosa, uttapam goes side by side as you can use the same batter for all these dishes.
There are different other compositions you can add in your batter with different cereals. Here, I am sharing the recipe with the idli batter which I have shared in the below link.
