Just the thought of cooking invokes a lot of excitement in me.
Going to the kitchen, getting vegetables for chopping and having a great time with memories associated around it as cooking stories are endless.

People are so fond of eating good food and so are the amazing demands for recipes in India.
Today I would like to take you through some of the must try foods that you should plan to prepare at home, if you haven't.
Today I am going to share recipe of the most demanded vegetable specially by North Indians "Matar Paneer " liked by almost everyone be it kids or elders in the family plus it's the season of peas too.
Well, my 3 year old son loved it and would complement me by saying .. "mummy its nummy(yummy)". It's like winning something if he finishes his lunch or dinner..like this.
So , here it is.
Recipe:
Ingredients : -
a)Peas - 1 cup (boiled)
b)paneer - 200 gm
c)ginger - 1/2 inch
d)garlic- 4-5 cloves
e)onion-. 2 medium size
f)tomato - 2 medium size
g)cashew- 10 (whole)
h)butter-. 1 tbsp
i)cooking oil - 1 tbsp
j)coriander powder - 1/2 tbsp
k)garam masala powder - 1tsp
l)fresh Malai - 1-2 tbsp
m) dry methi leaves - 1 tsp
n) red chilli powder - 1 tsp (optional)
Method:
Step 1: Heat cooking oil in a pan.
Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute.
Step 2: Add chopped onion and saute till golden brown.
Step 3: Add tomatoes and cook covered till tomatoes become soft on slow to medium flame.
Step 4: Remove the mixture and let it cool completely and then blend it into a fine paste without adding water.
Step 5: In the same pan heat butter and add the prepared paste.
Saute well till the oil comes up on paste.
Step 6: mix peas ,paneer, fresh Malai, spice powder(turmeric, coriander and garam masala) and water and salt as required per your consistency and taste. Cover and cook for another 5 minutes.
Step 7: Remove the lid and sprinkle kasuri methi leaves and red chilly powder.
And you are done ...serve this with roti or rice.
